Behind every Lankriya artwork is a long journey of shaping, molding, casting, refining, and finishing — carefully transformed by hand, one stage at a time.
Sketch &
Wax Model
Every piece begins with an idea translated into a sketch, then shaped in wax according to the intended form, size, and character of the artwork.
First
Mold
The wax model is then used as the foundation for creating the first mold using a mixture of cement and sand.
Wax
Reproduction
Once the first mold has dried, wax is formed again to create a thin, hollow shape that follows the details of the intended artwork.
Clay &
Ash Mold
The wax form is enclosed in a mixture of clay and ash to create the next mold, which is carefully dried before the casting stage.
Brass
Casting
Molten brass is poured into the prepared mold. Once the metal has solidified, the mold is opened to reveal the newly formed artwork.
Cleaning
& Polishing
The final stage brings the piece together through cleaning, joining, refining, and polishing — preparing the artwork for its final presentation.
